Commercials

When Big Things Go Wrong (2021)

I really enjoy using my science of disaster knowledge as a geoscience professor with over 20 years of teaching experience. In 2012-13, I did a sabbatical at the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Emergency Management Institute developing their science of disasters curriculum.

Ancient Unexplained Files (2021)

Phantom Signals (2020)

Strange Evidence (2017 – 2019)

I have appeared as the science demonstration expert on the Science Channel show Strange Evidence for the first 3 seasons. The show brings together a team of experts who analyze video footage that seems to defy explanation. I describe the phenomena and use mockups to explain the science behind what is being seen.

Genius by Stephen Hawking (2016)

I appear in Episode 2: Are We Alone.[ During this episode, I, along with two other individuals, are challenged to “think like a genius” and discover the science behind the search for extraterrestrial life.

The STEM Journals (2012)

I appear in two episodes of The STEM Journals Season 1. The STEM Journals is an educational show for kids interested in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and aired locally on Cox7 Arizona. I appear in the Physics of Flight and Rocks episodes.

The Colony (2010)

The Colony was a post-apocalyptic building show by the Discovery Channel. I appear in Season 2 which consists of 10 episodes and was shot on location in New Orleans.[9]
